[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Barr Lake Banding Report, 9/17/26

Things were slow today. Everything was down -  Wilson's still led the parade, but there were fewer of them; we banded only one flycatcher, but also only one sparrow.  The one flycatcher was an Olive-sided, a definite rarity for us.

Here are the 39 new birds:

Olive-sided Flycatcher 1

Black-capped Chickadee 1

Red-breasted Nuthatch 1

Northern House Wren 1

Gray Catbird 1

Yellow Warbler 2

Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 1

MacGillivray's Warbler 1

Common Yellowthroat 1

Wilson's Warbler 28

Green-tailed Towhee 1    

We are open Tuesday through Sunday, weather permitting, through October 23.  Most weekday mornings there is a visitor session from 7:30 to 8:30, and on the weekends there are sessions at 8, 9 and 10 a.m.  Reservations are needed; here is the link.   Please join us......It is a great year to visit Barr!
