[cobirds] Bird Conservancy Banding Report - Barr Lake Station, 9/15/17

A slightly cooler and slightly more birdy morning. Caught a Downy Woodpecker banded in 2015.  Three new species for the season - a rare for us Golden-crowned Kinglet (what a cutie!), a late for first arrival Dusky Flycatcher and an early Dark-eyed Junco.  Here's the breakdown of the 22 new birds:

Downy Woodpecker 1 banded 2015
Dusky Flycatcher 1
Black-capped Chickadee 2
House Wren 1
Golden-crowned Kinglet 1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Orange-crowned Warbler 1
MacGillivray's Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat 2
Wilson's Warbler 9
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 1
Dark-eyed Junco, Oregon 1

Come visit! We are open 6 days per week (CLOSED Mondays), weather permitting, through October 15. We are opening nets at 6:30 and should have birds back at the station before 7:30. We will close most days by about 11:30, earlier now when it is so hot. School groups arrive most weekdays at about 9:30.
