[cobirds] Bird Conservancy Banding Report - Barr Lake Station, 9/21/17

We got winded out on Wednesday, but were back at work today.  Banded 29 birds.  Best bird of the day was a Brown Thrasher.  We are at the time of the season where we get a wide variety - everything from House Wrens that haven't yet left their breeding ground to Juncos that might stay around for the winter:

Downy Woodpecker 1
Black-capped Chickadee 1
House Wren 3
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Brown Thrasher 1
Common Yellowthroat 1
Wilson's Warbler 13
Chipping Sparrow 4
Song Sparrow 1
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 1
Dark-eyed Junco, Gray-headed 1
Dark-eyed Junco, Oregon 1

Come visit! We are open 6 days per week (*CLOSED Mondays*), weather permitting, through October 15. We are opening nets at 6:30 and should have birds back at the station before 7:30. We will close most days by about 11:30. School groups arrive most weekdays at
about 9:30.
