Eileen Cunningham and I observed Solitary Sandpipers cinnamomea at two different locations this morning. We saw one juvenile at the Fruita State Park and an adult & juvenile at Horsethief SWA. Yesterday Carol Ortenzio and I had a juvenile Solitary Sandpiper cinnamomea at Grand Junction Wildlife Area and Mark & Denise reported seeing 3 Solitary Sandpipers along the Blue Heron section of the Colorado River State Park. That makes 4 different locations in two days, so this must be the window for the western subspecies.
