[cobirds] Scissor-tailed Kite , Lamar today .

CO Birders :

6 intrepid birders got to watch the immature ( 2cnd year  ? ) Scissor-tailed Kite resting in a tree at the intersection of 3rd and Chestnut Street for over an hour preening pretty consistently despite lawn mowing and weed whacking operations taking place in the next yard .  Time of our observations was 8:05 to 9.15 am when we walked away . First observed from the Willow Creek Swim Pool parking lot coming to rest in a tree to the north by Bill Maynard.A drive by search through the streets from 10:10 to 10:30 failed to re find this gem .
