This bird is with a licensed rehabber in Colo Sprgs. We are trying to figure out what it is. It eats both mealworms and seeds, but tends to tear the mealworms into small pieces before eating. On 8/8 when I last saw it in person, it was the size of a house finch and able to perch. It did not have the streaking on the sides of the breast and was just buffy looking at that time. I recall the beak was conical looking, but in this picture it appears more pointed.
