[cobirds] Sharp-shinned Hawk, Ken Caryl Valley, JeffCo

An adult male Sharp-shinned Hawk was hunting (unsuccessfully) in my yard yesterday afternoon, 8/13. This was only my second summer record in my home area; perhaps it was an early fall migrant.

Western Tanagers are among the very few migrants near home this morning. Adult male Rufous and Calliope Hummingbirds have been gone from my feeders for a week or so, but some adult male Broad-taileds remain. There are many female/imm. hummers to study!
