Another foggy morning, and migrant birds moving at Clear Spring Ranch. Unusual to see was another flock of catbirds, and then a giant flock of Common Grackles arrived in the fields around the parking area at 11:00. I estimated over 700 grackles.
Best birds banded today included Northern Waterthrush #2 (Hatch Year, sex unknown), a Virginia's Warbler (Adult Female), Warbling Vireo (Hatch Year, sex unknown), 6 more Yellow Warblers, adult and Hatch-year, and 3 more Lark Sparrows (and a large flock on the ground, too.) 34 birds banded today.
