[cobirds] Ken Caryl Valley, JeffCo 5/10

This morning before work there was not too much of note around my home in the Ken Caryl Valley, although a male Wood Duck flying over was nice. Then I came home early from work and spent a good deal of time watching the yard in the rain, and at the end of the afternoon I walked down along Massey Draw below my home. Birding was better in the afternoon and the rain. My yard had nice visits by 2-3 Western Tanagers, 1 male Rose-breasted Grosbeak, 3 Black-headed Grosbeaks, and 1 Hermit Thrush. With light rain falling Massey Draw (no public access) had a neat concentration of migrants: 1 Least Flycatcher, 1 Dusky Flycatcher, 1 Swainson's Thrush, 1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and 1 Lazuli Bunting.
