[cobirds] ID help

Was at lookout mountain this morning, parked in the first pull off after the pillars. Saw a small (meadowlark size) "fat" all gray bird with an orange crown/mohawk. Second was a smaller gray "fat" bird, smaller than the first one, with prominent white circles around the eyes. The tail was skinny/slender black tail with maybe a white outline. Didn't have camera so no pictures. Will try again tomorrow. Never seen these ones before. A Spotted Towhee did make an appearance.
