[cobirds] 3 Spots Left, David Leatherman, "What Birds Eat"

You don't want to miss this revealing class, brought to you by the Boulder County Nature Association. Take your birding to the next level.

What Birds Eat
David Leatherman
Indoor class: Wednesday, June 14, 6 pm - 9 pm
Field class: Saturday, June 17, 8 am - 12 pm
Field class: Saturday, June 24, 8 am - 1 pm

3 SPOTS LEFT: Limited to 10 participants, $95 per person

Don't just ask "What is it?" - but "What is it doing" and "Why is it there?" A knowledge of birds' food habits can not only help you find more birds, but answer these questions as well. In the evening session, we'll cover the basics of bird anatomy and physiology as they relate to how birds acquire food and sustain their activity. We'll also look at some of the major foods used by area birds. Two weekend field trips provide unrehearsed "live" attempts to find birds and figure out what they are eating. Bring your curiosity and your camera. These sessions will take place near Longmont, Loveland, and Fort Collins.
