I banded a second-year male HOODED WARBLER today at Clear Spring Ranch. This was the first one I had banded, although I saw 5 in the last decade being banded at CBR, usually also in the spring. Last seen zooming North through the willows. Photo attached.
The HOWA was one of the birds to show-up in a small arrival around 9:00, as was a FOS second-year Dusky Flycatcher, but besides that, it was pretty slow, with just singles of the usual suspects. Total birds today, = 12.
