We went looking for migrants this morning on our weekly Boulder Bird Club expedition. Heavily overcast and a bit of drizzle, but no real rain between 7:30 and 10:30 a.m. Highlights:
-- --Virginia's Warbler, 50 feet down the Gregory Canyon Trail
--Black-headed Grosbeak pair, Gregory Canyon driveway
--Yellow-rumped Warbers at Gregory Canyon, Green Mountain Cemetery, and East Campus/Space Center
--Cedar Waxwings at Green Mountain Cemetery and East Campus/Space Center
-- 2 Ruby-crowned Kinglets (plus a Pine Siskin and a Hairy Woodpecker) at Green Mountain Cemetery--5 species of swallows at East Campus/Space Center
--Yellow Warblers singing at East Campus/Space Center, plus a flock of White-crowned Sparrows and lots of Common Grackles
