We had a great morning birding at Ramah State Wildlife area today.
Highlights:
Two singing Dickcissels, one of them giving great photo ops. Two beautiful Red-headed Woodpeckers. Well over 100 Black Terns. A Caspian Tern fly-by. The following shorebirds: Solitary, Least, Spotted, Baird's, Western, and Semipalmated Sandpipers; Killdeer; Wilson's Phalaropes; Long-billed Dowitchers; Lesser Yellowlegs. We also had White-faced Ibis.
Be sure to take DEET along if you go to this area.
