[cobirds] Semipalmated Plovers & Chestnut-collared Longspurs

Yesterday, we happened on a birdy pond just west of Grover on CR-122 in Weld Co. (UTM 561317 4524765).  Occupants included White-faced Ibis, American Avocet, Blue-winged Teal, Northern Shoveler (17, a high count apparently), Greater Yellowlegs, Wilson's Phalarope, Semipalmated Plover (flagged by eBird as unusual for this time of year), and Cinnamon Teal.  I hadn't birded out that way before, so I don't have a good sense for what's "supposed" to be there.  Still, it seemed like an unusually rich mix of water- and shorebirds.  It could be a fun place to stop if you're in the area.

On another note, Chestnut-collared Longspurs are using CR 114 just east of the intersection with CR 45 (near the tree with the Golden Eagle platform, if you're familiar with the area).  They can be seen walking in the road.
