I was ready for disappointment this morning when I arrived at Hanson Nature Center and found it closed. So I birded from Duckwood to Willow Springs and found eight warbler species. Most of the action was on the north side of Rice Pond, where I found a female American redstart and Blackpoll warbler. There was also a plumbeous vireo in the same area. The warblers were working the trees around the beaver lodge. Other warblers were MacGillivray's, Wilson's, yellow, yellow-rumped, orange-crowned, and common yellowthroat.
