[cobirds] Re: Larimer County big day

If this is a Big Day that you are submitting to ABA as an official big day, it would be breaking their rules to read cobirds, look at ebird reports, or get direct information from people while doing an official ABA big day.  I am not sure any recent big days actually keep to these rules.  Since everyone has their phones on all day, looking for current bird information.

Subject:[cobirds] Larimer County big day

Dear Fellow birders,
As you know, the diversity of species in Colorado right now is very high, and Larimer County has been particularly blessed with rarities in recent days. With recent reports of rare warblers, vireos, Flycatcher's, gulls, etc., even more eyes will be out in Larimer County watching tomorrow.
Serendipitously, a group of 4 of us will be attempting a Larimer Big Day beginning at midnight tonight. By my count, about 225 species have been seen in Larimer in just the last few days. If we manage to move quickly enough, and have some luck with weather, and some cooperation from the birds themselves, we could reach 200 species. Therefore, if you see a species tomorrow (Sunday) that is rare enough to get flagged in eBird, we sure would appreciate hearing about it in real-time. You can post to Cobirds or email me directly.
We are hoping to make history tomorrow. And you can be a part of it. Thanks for your assistance.
