There were exciting birds about everywhere this morning as temps were warmer and insect life more active.
Rock Creek Ranch (Rio Grande County): Olive-sided Flycatcher
Monte Vista Refuge (Rio Grande County): Lark Bunting....first of the season.
Pike's Stockade: (Conejos County): Eastern Kingbird....they breed here every year lately
Willow Flycatcher
(no W-eyed Vireo but you'd need hip boots to find that one)
Alamosa Golf Course : Cougar Woods (Alamosa County, at north end of golf course on way to frisbee golf course)
Male Chestnut-sided Warbler: Only the 8th record for the San Luis Valley.
McGillivray's Warbler
Sora
At "black tee" just 100 yards west of Cattail Clubhouse
Female American Redstart
McGillivrays Warbler
Lincolns Sparrow
Willow Flycatcher
Seems like birds are finally moving through....
