[cobirds] December Dawn in Niwot, Colorado

Hi All,      6:15 am.    Hearing Great Horned Owls most mornings of late we gazed out our bedroom window towards the large cottonwood centered in the field. At the trees very top were the Owl pair in perfect silhouette with the skies rosy hues behind them. They were both facing our way and proceeded to alternately bow to one another, each with its tail raised. They took some ten bows apiece before one broke the spell and dropped into a glide.  Good Holiday Birding,         Carl Starace   and Sally Swain,    Niwot
