Hello Ira,
Congratulations on the Yellow-billed Loon photos. Tomorrow, Jane Stulp and I are planning a trip from Lamar to Chatfield to hopefully see this great bird which be a lifer for both, so cross your fingers for us! We appreciate the updates as we are not terribly familiar with the Chatfield area; if you are out tomorrow and see it again, we will be checking COBIRDs regularly. Look forward to seeing your pictures. Thanks again for the updates.

Birders,Here is a follow up to my earlier post. After I posted, I lost track of the YB Loon for a while. I and David and Sharon went to the spit and we relocated it much farther west than where I first saw it. It was in Jeffco at that point. It then moved to the east and much closer over the next 45 - 60 minutes and I got some almost decent shots (not near as good as those previously posted) that I will try and post later on smugmug. While we were watching the YB Loon, Patrick spotted 2 birds behind it and those turned out to be 2 Common Loons. They also got much closer. I left at about 3 pm and the YB Loon was moving into the Plum Creek Delta area and the Common Loons were headed west.--Ira SandersGolden, CO
