[cobirds] Acorn Woodpecker revisited, El Paso

Hey, Cobirders,

During the Colorado Springs CBC yesterday in the N. Cheyenne Canyon section we had the unexpected discovery of the presumed return of the female acorn woodpecker from two years ago. Same area as Dec. 2012: on Cheyenne Blvd, 1804 in particular (lots of side-yard feeders, lots of Christmas inflatables--more than previously), but also in adjacent yards. Generally across from Sacred Grounds coffee shop, within the semicircular Willow Circle environs but also back & forth across Cheyenne Blvd.

Good Birding into the New Year,
Marty Wolf
