Clif and Pearle found and photographed at least 80 rosy-finches coming to drink early this afternoon, at the pool, below Pueblo Reservoir dam, south of the Arkansas River. Margie Joy and I were able to see 12, which flew off to parts unknown around 3pm. Hopefully they will come back tomorrow and after. As far as we can tell, all the birds were Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches, though there could be the other two species as well.
Quite unexpected to have rosy-finches around Pueblo.
