ADAMS COUNTY:
-- Two male Black-and-white Warblers were reported by McBurney at the RMBO Barr Banding Station on September 5.
--A SWAINSON'S WARBLER and Tennessee Warbler were reported by Sheeter at Barr Lake on September 7.

ALAMOSA COUNTY:
--On September 3, Rawinski reported 15 species of shorebirds at Blanca Wetlands including a Snowy Plover and a Nashville Warbler.  Pond #16 continues to be a good spot.  It is a mile walk south of the first gate on the right. Bring a scope.

BOULDER COUNTY:
--An Indigo Bunting and Chestnut-sided Warbler were reported by Burke on Old St. Vrain Road in Lyons on September 8.

EL PASO/PUEBLO COUNTIES:
--A Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Farese at the Chico Basin Banding Station (fee area) on September 7.
--On September 8 at Chico Basin Ranch (fee area), Percival reported Chestnut-sided Warbler and Northern Waterthrush at Rose Pond (Pueblo), Ovenbird at Headquarters (Pueblo) and f/imm Black-and-white-Warbler by the banding station (El Paso).

LARIMER COUNTY:
--6 Bohemian Waxwings were reported by Lutomski with a flock of Cedar Waxwings at Lee Martinez Park in Fort Colins on September 7.

MESA COUNTY:
--A Nashville Warbler was reported by Korte at Vega Lake in willows and cottonwoods below the dam at Fisherman's Flats on September 6.

MORGAN COUNTY:
--At Jackson Lake SP on September 5, Sheeter reported in the campground area Black-and-white Warbler, 2 Ovenbirds, Magnolia Warbler, and Bell's Vireo.

OURAY COUNTY:
--A Black-throated Gray Warbler was reported by McConnell at Billy Creek SWA on September 7.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--A Red-throated Loon was reported by Percival by the Sailboard Launching Area of Pueblo Reservoir on September 7.

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY:
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Dexter at Miramonte Reservoir on September 2.

WASHINGTON COUNTY:
--On September 3 at the Inlet Canal at Prewitt, Sanders reported BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER and Great Crested Flycatcher.
--A Northern Waterthrush and Ovenbird were reported by Koehn at Last Chance on September 4.

WELD COUNTY:
--A Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Lefko on the Poudre River Trail in Greeley on September 3.
--At Loloff Reservoir on September 5, Leatherman and Sheeter reported 2 Sabine's Gulls (1 ad, 1 imm).  On September 7, Leatherman reported 1 ad Sabine's Gull at Loloff.  On September 8, Kingwood reported that the ad Sabine's Gull continued at Loloff.
--2 ad Sabine's Gulls were reported by Lefko at Timnath Reservoir on September 8.
   
No DFO Field trips scheduled but you can help with the Fall Bird Counts

Saturday, September 14
Barr Lake periphery.  This trip, mostly driving, does not involve much walking and will be good for people with limited mobility or stamina.  Leader:  Dick Anderson, 303-757-4582.  Phone or email leader at rholmesanderson AT earthlink.net.  Meet at 0700 at Barr Lake Entrance Station.

Chatfield State Park
Leader, Joey Kellner, 303-978-1748.   Meet at 0630 at West (Deer Creek) entrance to park.  State Parks pass required.

Cherry Creek Reservoir
Leaders:  Cheryl Teuton and Dan Brooks (303-912-3341).  Meet at 0800 at Marina, inside west gate near Cherry Creek High School.  State Parks pass required.

Waterton, downstream. 4--5 mile hike.  Wear long pants due to bare-leg-unfriendly plans such as poison ivy, thistles, and knapweed.  
Leaders:  Hugh and Urling Kingery (303-814-2723).  Meet at 0630 at Audubon Nature Center (left turn immediately after turning onto Waterton/Roxborough road before the DOW parking lot for Waterton Canyon).

Lower Bear Creek and Marston Reservoir
Leader Chuck Aid (303-674-3331 or caid At ecentral.com)
Meet at 0630 at parking lot adjacent to the Conoco Station at the NE corner of Morrison Road and C470.  Will bird Bear Creek Lake Park and the Bear Creek Greenbelt in the morning and Marston Reservoir in the afternoon.

Sunday, September 15
Barr Lake State Park
Lots of walking -- at least five miles on all sides of the lake, including the banding station.  
Leader:  Dick Schottler (303-278-8035).  Call leader if you plan to go.  Meet at 0630 at RMBO, 14500 Lark Bunting Lane.  South off Bromley Lane; from I-76, first road east of railroad track.  State Parks pass required.

Castlewood Canyon State Park
Leader:  Kirk Huffstater (303-660-9298)
Meet at 0630 at the Homestead.  From CO 86, 0.5 miles west of Franktown, turn south on Castlewood Canyon Road, go two miles to old entrance; Homestead is first parking lot on the left.  State Parks pass required.

Rocky Mountain Arsenal
Leader:  Urling Kingery, (303-641-8823).  Call leader to sign up; spaces available.
