Hello, Birders.
I walked around Walden/Sawhill Ponds a bit yesterday afternoon, Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 22nd. Kinda slow out there, but I found 2 Swamp Sparrows in the back end of Sawhilll. Assuming they're different from the 5 that Hannah and Andrew and I found earlier in the week (they and I didn't get anywhere near the back end of Sawhill), that makes at least 7 Swamp Sparrows at the Walden/Sawhill complex. The Swamp Sparrow at the Cottonwood Marsh parking lot (or, rather, what remains of it) was still there, chipping away.
Also of interest was a Cattle Egret flying over Cottonwood Marsh. I assume that this is the same bird found earlier in the week by David Waltman. A Greater Yellowlegs was still at Cottonwood Marsh.
