The Brambling was in the same spot at 2:16 p.m. today. It comes to feed very quickly and not for long, and is a very nervous, hard to photograph bird! Six different views are on my website above. I agree that it appears to be a first year male. It only feeds for a minute or so. You don’t get a very long look. I waited 40 min and it did not reappear and quite a few bikers were going over the bridge where the seed is, so I gave up!
That was the 2nd lifer CO has produced for me: Ross’s Gull and Brambling! Thanks Joe and Mike for finding them!
