Hello all,
Once again I am writing to let you know about the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies' annual fall fundraiser, A Night for the Birds. Join us at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science on Friday, October 6 from 6 to 9 PM for games, hors d'oeuvres, drinks, guest speakers, and a live and silent auction.
Bird Conservancy of the Rockies is working hard to preserve birds and their habitats -- especially the grassland birds, the most imperiled suite of species in North America. The Bird Conservancy's three-pronged approach (science, stewardship, and education) depends on working with private landowners to keep both habitats and rural communities strong. At the fall fundraiser, you'll be able to bid on experiences like guided tours to see Mountain Plovers in South Park, an all-inclusive stay at Zapata Ranch, a birding trip by canoe on Barr Lake, a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum collection at DMNS, or a birding-by-ear field trip guided by yours truly, just to name a few!
Let me know if you have any questions, and I hope to see some of you there.
Nathan Pieplow, Boulder
Board member, Bird Conservancy of the Rockies
