[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Ridgway State Park Banding Report Week 1

I kicked off banding at Ridgway State Park on 9/4, and had a great first week! On 9/6 we banded a Sage Thrasher, which is a first ever for the station which has been operating since 2006! Other notable catches was our first Bushtit on 9/7 and Green-tailed Towhee on 9/8! On 9/9 we banded a Yellow-breasted Chat which is fairly rare for the area as Ridgway is a few hundred feet above their normal elevation range!

In total for our first week 72 birds were banded of 20 different species!

Yellow Warbler - 9
Virginia Warbler - 3
Wilson's Warbler - 6
MacGillivray's Warbler - 6
Orang-crowned Warbler -7
House Wren - 6
Black-capped Chickadee - 3
Dusky Flycatcher - 1
Willow Flycatcher - 4
Cassin's Vireo - 2
Warbling Vireo - 3
Song Sparrow - 5
Lincoln's Sparrow - 4
Chipping Sparrow - 1
Gray Catbird - 6
American Robin -2
Sage Thrasher - 1
Bushtit - 1
Green-tailed Towhee - 1
Yellow-breasted Chat - 1

I will continue banding from 9/11 to 9/15.
