[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - Barr Banding Report, 9/21 and 9/22/23

Got a bit behind in my reporting, due to the craziness of the past few days, so this covers both Thursday and Friday.  Thursday was slow and Friday (today) was pitiful.......18 new birds on Thursday and only 3 today.  I'm not sure there has been a day in mid-September when we only banded 3 new birds.  Here is the breakdown for the 2 days:

Thursday:
House Wren 2
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 2
Common Yellowthroat 2
Wilson's Warbler 7
Yellow-breasted Chat 1
Green-tailed Towhee 1
Chipping Sparrow 3

Friday:
Orange-crowned Warbler 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 1
Common Yellowthroat 1

If you would like to visit our station, we have one-hour slots (up to 15 visitors at a time) from 7:30-8:30 most weekday mornings (Tues-Fri, we are closed on Mon) and 8, 9 , and 10 a.m. one-hour time slots on the weekends.  Saturday/tomorrow is full; there are a few spots remaining in the 10 a.m. slot on Sunday.  Still plenty of opportunities to visit next week.  Click here to make a reservation.
