[cobirds] Bird Conservancy of the Rockies-Chico Basin Ranch 9/19/2023

What a day filled with nice birds and 90 1st and 2nd graders! Five new birds for the season including Yellow-shafted and Red-shafted Flickers, along with Townsend's Solitaire, Oregon Junco, and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher. The kids really got a kick out of the big and small birds.

Ruby-crowned Kinglet- 2
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher- 1
Dusky flycatcher- 1
Hammond's Flycatcher- 2
Western Tanager- 1
Hermit Thrush- 1
Swainson's Thrush- 2
Townsend's Solitaire- 2
Lincoln's Sparrow- 1
Oregon Junco- 1
American Robin- 2
Yellow-shafted Flicker- 1
Red-shafted Flicker- 1

1 Recapture
Hermit Thrush banded yesterday gained 6 grams

The banding station will be open tomorrow through Saturday from Sunrise until @11:30 AM. Enjoy the day!
