[cobirds] Re: Sora and Other Birds

First I would like to say in my rush to get the post out, I put Canada Goose instead of Cackling Goose (I thought I deleted that post, but obviously they go out) and put melanistic instead of amelanistic. Here s a link to a picture of the Cackling Goose (not sure you can see (just starting e-bird)):

In response to Bob Canter, I also meant to mention the Fort Collins CBC. The only reason I included Ruddy Duck was because, along with the Sora, it usually is not seen in the CBC in Fort Collins circle in winter.  The Sora has been seen once in the 71 years of the Fort Collins CBC and the Ruddy Duck 4 times (last in 2012).  It is not that uncommon along Front Range, especially further south, just uncommon for Fort Collins. The Sora, though, is a little more unusual, but expected with the relatively mild winter.
