[cobirds] Bird Conservancy Banding Report - Barr Lake Station, 9/5/17

Ahh......Cool weather and good birds!  We had our first 2 Vireos of the season - a Warbling and a Cassin's in the same run, and a lovely TENNESSEE WARBLER, our first since 2012.  Here's the breakdown of the 47 new and 1 return (from 2012):

Cassin's Vireo 1 (FOS)
Warbling Vireo 1 (FOS)
House Wren 3
Hermit Thrush 1  (FOS)
Tennessee Warbler 1 (First since 2012)
Orange-crowned Warbler 1
Yellow Warbler 2 new, 1 banded 2012
MacGillivray's Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat 3
Wilson's Warbler 30
Clay-colored Sparrow 1
Lincoln's Sparrow 2

Come visit! We are open 6 days per week (CLOSED Mondays), weather permitting, through October 15. We are opening nets at 6:30 and should have birds back at the station before 7:30. We will close most days by about 11:30, earlier now when it is so hot. School groups arrive most weekdays at about 9:30.
