[cobirds] Recent Birds Ken Caryl Valley and Littleton

On Oct 28 a Swamp Sparrow was along Massey Draw below my home in Ken Caryl Valley. I did not refind it when I visited this morning. A continuing roost/day-long gathering of Common Grackles in the neighborhood beside St. Mary Church on S. Prince in Littleton had  more birds in evidence on the evening of Oct 28 than in recent days. I made a conservative estimate of 600, and suspect there may have been as many as 800 grackles.

This morning (Oct 29) a late female Red-naped Sapsucker was foraging in Russian Olives and cottonwoods along Massey Draw in Ken Caryl Valley.

[Note: this area of Ken Caryl Ranch does not have general public access]
