On October 18 at Barr Lake near Boat Launch Kathy Mihm Dunning reported Red-throated Loon. On October 19 at Barr Lake, Kim Mauritz reported 2 Sabine's GUlls, 2 ICELAND GULLS, and a Field Sparrow. On October 18 at Barr Lake near the boat launch, Candace Johnson reported Red-throated Loon. On October 20 at Barr Lake, Mark Minner-Lee, Norm Lewis, Diane Roberts, and Adam Vesely reported Red-throated Loon. On October 21 at Barr Lake, Glenn Walbek, Mark Peterson, Phile Lyon, Chris Goulard, and Gwen Moore reported Red-throated Loon. On October 21 at Barr Lake Glenn Walbek and Mark Peterson reported 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (1st cyc, 4th cyc). ---On October 8 at South Platte Reservoir, Ben Sampson, Thomas Holub, and Dale Pate reported f-type Surf Scoter in the SE Corner. On October 9 at South Platte Reservoir, Mark Chavez, Gene Rutherford, Renee Casias, and John Drummond reported Surf Scoter. On October 10 at South Platte Reservoir, David Suddjian and many other birders reported Surf Scoter. On October 11 at South Platte Reservoir, Jill Boice, David Hill, Cynthia Madsen, Diane Roberts, and Mary Burger reported Surf Scoter. On October 13, Lee Farrell, Chris Gilbert, and David Dowell reported Surf Scoter at South Platte Reservoir. On October 14, Jason Beason, Andrea Robinsong, and Glenn Walbek reported Surf Scoer at South Platte Reservoir.
BENT/KIOWA COUNTIES:

---On October 23 at Cottonwood Marsh a Palm Warbler was reported by Jack Bushong, Ryan Bushong, and Holden Maxwell.
CHEYENNE COUNTY:
---On October 16 in Kit Carson (town), Kara Carragher reported Nashville Warbler.
DOUGLAS COUNTY:
---On October 13, at Marina Sandspit at Chatfield SP, Gwen Moore reported Pomarine Jaeger and Sabine's Gull. On October 22, at Marina Sandspit, Thomas Hollub reported Pomarine Jaeger.
DOUGLAS/JEFFERSON COUNTIES:
---On October 13, Adam Vesely and Mark Chavez reported Pomarine Jaeger at Chafield in area betweeh fishing pier and north boat ramp; Dan String, John Drummond and Jeannie Mitchell had good views of the Pomarine Jaeger from the handicapped Fisherman's pier and Scott Somershoe reported best view from the Jeff Co side North Boat Ramp. On October 13, Nic Korte and Scott Someshoe reported Pomarine Jaeger on Jefferson County side, and David Dowell, Scot Somershoe, Christine Alexander, Cheri Phillips, and Renee Casias reported Pomarine Jaerger on Douglas County side. On October 14, Dale Adams reported that the Pomarine Jaeger spend much of the time in the middle of the reservoir at Chatfield. The Pomarine Jaeger was reported on the Douglas side by Chuck Aid and Glenn Walbek and on the Jefferson side by Andrea Robinsing, Jason Beason, Tracy Phenger, and Norm Lewis. On October 15, Gregg Goodrich reported that the Pomarine Jaeger continues at Chatfield SP and was seen by many birders on both the Douglas county and Jefferson county side of the reservoir. On October 16, the Pomarine Jaeger was reported by Ben Lagasse, Kathy Mihm Dunning, Frank Farrell, Loch Kilpatrick, and Peter Burke on the Douglas side and by Tim Ryan and Bob Spencer on the Jefferson side of Chatfield. On October 17, the Pomarine Jaeger was reported by Mel & Jeanne Goff, Monday Birders, and Brian Johnson on the Douglas county side of Chatfield and by Mark Minner-Lee, Tim Ryan, and Brian Johnson on the Jefferson county side of Chatfield. On October 18 the Pomarine Jaeger was reported by David Suddjian and several other birders on the Jefferson County side of Chatfield and by David Suddjian, Aaron Shipe, Tom Behnfield, and Art Hudak on the Douglas County side.

---On October 12 at Chatfield SP, Ira Sanders reported a Pomarine Jaeger west of water intake at N end of Dam.

---On October 16 at Upper Queen/Neeskah Reservoir, Kara Carragher reported 6 Cattle Egret and 9 Chestnut-collared Longspurs.
LARIMER COUNTY:
---On October 23 a Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by Chris Goulart at Fossil Creek Reservoir on the far east side along the frontage road.

On October 13, Phil Lyon reported Trumpeter Swan at BeBeque canyon tunnel Pullout Area. On October 21, JoAnn Riggle reported Trumpeter Swan at DeBeque Canyon Tunnel Pullout Area.

---On October 9, Coen Dexter reported 4 Sagebrush Sparrows and a Bewick's Wren at the Nucla Airport.

On October 22, Nick Komar reported WESTERN GULL, juv Sabine's Gull, Lapland Longspur, and 4 McCown's Longspurs at Jackson Lake SP.

Meet at the west marina parking lot. State Parks pass or day pass required. Coleader Bob Righter. Will carpool to various stops and walk 102 miles. bring binoculars, water, snacks and sunscreen. Scopes are useful. Register online or contact leader.
The DFO FIeld Trip for Sunday, October 30 will be to Denver City Park led by Patrick O'Driscoll & Karen Drozda (patodrisk At gmail.com; 303-837-0864). Meet at the parking strip southeast of 22nd Ave just north of Ferril Lake. From Colorado Blvd, turn west onto 22nd Ave and go past the Museum of Nature and Science. Turn left just before the zoo at the sign to the Pavilion Bandstand. Park on the left at the end of the parking area closest to Ferril Lake. Birng water, snacks binoculars, and camera. Scopes are helpful on Ferril Lake. Register online or contact leader.
