This afternoon, we decided to stop at Aiken Canyon Preserve for a hike. Beautiful day. After the hike we headed south on hwy 115 to Barrett Road. Wanted to see all the bluebirds. When we pulled off of hwy 115, we immediately stopped on a dirt shoulder so we could get our snacks. While we were eating, my wife looks out the window, to the west of the road. "What's that?" she asked. I put the bino's on it. No way! A roadrunner in El Paso County Colorado, in February? Priceless.
