Arkansas River, below Pueblo Reservoir dam, with David Chartier -- we walked for like 3 miles:

Pueblo Reservoir (birded with David Chartier in the morning and the Denver crowd in the afternoon)
Long-tailed Duck - 7 swimming together, also saw two in flight before this, could be different birds, who knows
Barrow's Goldeneye - 1 male

Ruddy Duck - 2
Diving ducks, Canvasback, Redhead, Ring-necked Duck, Lesser Scaup
Dabbling Ducks, Northern Pintails, Northern Shovelers, American Wigeon, etc.
Clark's Grebe - 1
Great Black-backed Gull - 1 adult
Lesser Black-backed Gull - 4 adults, 1 1st year bird
Thayer's Gull - 1-2 adults, 1 juvenile
Bonaparte's Gull - 25
Common Loon - 2-3
Horned, Eared, Western Grebes (as well as Pied-billed)
Double-crested Cormorants

Mountain Bluebirds, Pine Siskins, American Goldfinches

I ended up with 87 species of birds around Pueblo on 1 January. Not a bad start. Not sure I'll make it to 100 species in two days, as I seem to still be at home this morning.
