As many of you know, Ranger Karl Manderbach, who has been so helpful assisting birders
-- at the Bobcat Ridge woodcock site for the second winter now, has been recognized by CFO
with its coveted Appreciation Award. The actual plaque will be presented tonight at the annual
"Natural Areas Awards Banquet" by David Leatherman.
To accompany the article being prepared for Monday's edition of the Fort Collins newspaper, I need a photo of the crowd
of birders up there and a photo of Karl himself. The article is being written by Sue Kenney of the
Fort Collins Natural Areas Department.
Your help is much appreciated, and you will get photographer's credit.
CFO member Glenn Walbek has sent me a fine photo of the bird itself.
Thanks,
Joe Roller
former CFO Awards Chair*
