[cobirds] Canon City Riverwalk-closure of river trail from most of Raynold's to Sell's Lake trail heads

Just an fyi to those who may be wanting to bird the Canon  Due to the necessary heavy construction involved, the River Trail will be closed from January 18th through March 4th.  Cross trails within the park will also be closed.  The Bluff Trail is expected to remain open. "

You can walk the River Trail from the Raynold's Street parking lot a few hundred feet City Riverwalk to the east edge of the pond/wetlands.   From the Sell's Lake trailhead you can walk the river trail several hundred yards to where they have fenced it off at the west edge of the old sewer district fence .

Again, the Bluff trail is open as is the remaining parts of the Canon City Riverwalk from MacKenzie Ave to just before the Tunnel Drive trails parking lot which I posted the other day as closed.  Sorry there has been no time frame given for this project that I am aware of as this is the official notice: "Tunnel Drive Trail and Trailhead will be closed until further notice for the completion of trailhead and drainage improvements. Please do not park in or walk through the construction zone."  I have posted a few photos of the extensive construction taking place at this location onto my personal facebook page that can be seen by clicking here.  I will update here as needed.
