It came to my attention that Ken Caryl Valley neighbor Sally Cuffin had a female Broad-tailed Hummingbird lingering at her feeders in the Massey Draw watershed since some time in October. I made arrangements to visit today to help confirm the occurrence (and hoping maybe it was instead something rarer). But it was a female Broad-tailed Hummingbird, and she has been seeing it pretty much daily. Nice treat for November 10!
Two Golden Eagles were soaring nearby before I stopped in to see the hummer.
The Yellow-bellied Sapsucker in my yard was seen Nov 7-8, but so far not after.
