Hi all,
Christmas Bird Count Compilers got an e-mail from National Audubon today, that their website is open to post dates for Christmas Bird Counts. As usual the dates are from Monday, 14 Dec to Tuesday, 5 January.
So, the weekends, when many counts will be held this year would be Saturday, 19 December and Sunday, 20 December, Saturday 26 December, and Sunday, 27 December, and Saturday, 2 January 2016 and Sunday, 3 January 2016. Another popular date would be Friday, 1 January 2016. There are usually over 45 Christmas Bird Counts held in Colorado annually, from all over the state.
I'll try to post dates here, later in November. Compilers if you want people to help with your count, go ahead and let the word out on cobirds, etc. and post the date to the CBC Website. If you have issues doing that, let me know, or the CBC people back east. Some counts in rural areas in the state, don't have a lot of help, so if you can help with some of these counts, that would be wonderful.
