This morning while taking out the trash, I heard a Cordilleran Flycatcher and than saw the bird as it was calling away. He then moved to the backyard as he chased the Mountain Chickadees and their young(nested in our box for the second straight year). While watching the activity which included hummingbirds, it had the feel of being in the foothills a few miles to our west instead of suburbia Lakewood!
