I started the day looking at the Blue-winged Warbler(Welchester Tree Park) before my family woke up. I never get tired of looking at this beauty! Then I made a second attempt ( the first time the road was closed ) for the Acorn and Red-headed Woodpeckers(Sony Pass Rd near Cheesman Reservoir) with my wife and daughter. It didn't take long before both birds made an appearance on this very cloudy day. The Red-headed Woodpeckers made it very clear that they have a low tolerance for the misplaced Acorn Woodpecker. He would fly to the general area just to get chased of over and over again. Photos of the birds can be seen below:
