Folks,
301 gull watchers joined in on our gull trip this morning, give or take 295. The Lesser Black-backed Gull of the larus fuscus intermedius race was at South Platte Reservoir along with 2 Horned Grebes, 18 Ruddy Ducks and 2 Long-tailed Ducks. At least one adult Thayer's Gull was there, but no Iceland Gull. Cherry Creek Reservoir had a second cycle Glaucous Gull and at least 1 first cycle Thayer's Gull. Gene Rutherford reported 2 American White Pelicans at Cherry Creek, but they were gone by the time we arrived. Speaking with Cole Wild late this afternoon, he found the first cycle Iceland Gull at South Platte Reservoir, but not the LBBG intermedius. Go gulling!
