We will open 2013 CFO Convention on-line registration this weekend, so please watch our website for first choice for field trips. The brochures are about to be mailed as well.
Our convention headquarters will be in Cortez with field trips radiating in all directions including Dolores, La Plata, Montezuma, and San Juan Counties. Besides field trips we'll again have a Welcoming picnic hosted by CFO, ID Challenge, and Technical Papers. We expect to have a great time finding specialities like Lucy's, Grace's, and Black-throated Gray Warblers, Gray Vireos and Gray Flycatchers, and Black-throated and Sage Sparrows. Our color theme this year seems to be "black and gray." It may sound formal, but the middle of May is a good time to visit southwest Colorado and have fun exploring this beautiful part of our state. And with migration in progress, we may find a surprise or two.
