Driving out of Boulder this evening at about 5:15, still enough light to see, there was a beautiful light Rough-legged Hawk flying over Highway 93 just a little north of Highway 128. It was impossible to pull over, but the the underside's light wings, light tail and big dark belly band were clearly visible in the almost-dusk light. Since these guys are not seen as often in Boulder anymore, it seemed worth posting. -Elena Klaver, Niwot
