This morning, the east Boulder GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW was near the small stream that passes under Valmont Road, where the pedestrian crosswalk for the White Rocks Trail is located. This location is 0.2 mi west of the Teller-White Rocks parking lot where this bird has typically been viewed during the past 3 winters. The Golden-Crowned Sparrow was in a mixed flock with 2 Harris's Sparrows, several White-Crowned Sparrows, and numerous American Tree Sparrows.
