[cobirds] Lapland Longspur and Huge Goose Flock (Continues)/Weld

Hi all

Raptor Alley drive yielded the following on Sunday. Photos here, http://www.friendsofthepawneegrassland.org/profile/admin, first two posts.
  • Rough-legged Hawk - 1
  • Red-tailed Hawk - 6
  • Prairie Falcon - 2
  • Northern Harrier - 1
  • American Kestrel - 7
  • Golden Eagle - 1
  • Ferruginous Hawk - 2
  • Bald Eagle - 1
  • Lapland Longspur - 4-6 (between Weld CR 55/57 along 124)
The huge five-goose flock continues at Neff Lake. Thousands of Canada/Cackling, probably close to four-digit Snows with some Ross's and three Greater White-fronted. Flock has been here last two weekends I suspect they know they won't get shot at Neff Lake. :-)

Thanks Gary Lefko, Nunn
