AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER (Weld)

Various expected wintering gulls have appeared at Lake Pueblo & other favored sites.

YELLOW-BILLED LOON (Arapahoe)

Pacific Loon (Jefferson, Larimer, *Pueblo)

GYRFALCON (Larimer)

Varied Thrush (La Plata)

Rusty Blackbird (Eagle, Pueblo)

Blackburnian Warbler (Pueblo)

Summer Tanager (Pueblo)


ARAPAHOE COUNTY:

—On November 19 a Black Scoter was reported in the Arapahoe County section of the South Platte Reservoir. It was first reported by Gregg Goodrich on 15th.

—On November 19 a YELLOW-BILLED LOON was reported at Cherry Creek SP. It was first observed by Ben Sampson on November 8.


BOULDER COUNTY:

—On November 17 a Long-tailed Duck was observed at Lagerman Reservoir. First observed by Mark Miller on 16th.


JEFFERSON COUNTY:

—On November 20 a Black Scoter was observed at South Platte Reservoir, Jefferson County side. First reported by James McCall on the 13th.

On November 20 a Surf Scoter was observed at the Jefferson County section of South Platte Reservoir. First reported by James McCall on 13th.

—On November 18 a White-winged Scoter was reported at the North boat ramp of Chatfield Reservoir. First reported by Rob Raker on the 9th. 


LA PLATA COUNTY:

—On November 17 a Varied Thrush was observed at Vallecito Reservoir by Anne-Marie Mee.


LARIMER COUNTY:

--On November 16 a gray-phase GYRFALCON, perhaps a returnee from last winter, appeared on Trilby Road by the Larimer County Landfill in southwest Fort Collins. It was first reported by Robert Beauchamp on the 3rd. Please post sightings to CObirds.


PUEBLO COUNTY: 

—On November 21 a Pacific Loon was reported from the Sailboard area at Lake Pueblo by Evan Carlson. First reported on November 15.

—On November 18 a male Summer Tanager (late) was reported at the Pueblo West Gravel Pit by David Suddjian on a DFO field trip. Birders searched on November 19 to no avail.

—On November 18 a Blackburnian Warbler was reported along the Arkansas River Trail, east of Pueblo Blvd, by Alan Ketcham. Searched for, but not found on Nov 19.

—On November 16 (2) Rusty Blackbirds were reported at the Arkansas River Trail-east of Pueblo Blvd by Ira Sander's DFO group.


ROUTT COUNTY:

—On November 19 a report came in of a White-winged Scoter at Lake Catamount. It was first seen on November 15 by Tresa Moulton.


WELD COUNTY:

On November 20 an AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER was reported from Union Reservoir; first reported November 17 by Steven Mlodinow.
