[cobirds] Greater White-fronted Goose, 11/17/2019 ,Fort Logan Cemetery,Denver County

In Fort Logan Cemetery today, I saw 1, immature Greater-White-fronted Goose, among hoards of Cackling/Canada Geese. The Cemetery is off of S. Sheridan, just south of W. Quincy. Right after you enter the Cemetery off of S.. Sheridan, there is a large pond on the south side. The bird was seen feeding around the lake on grass and then it disappeared into the  headstones, while still feeding. If you continue further east on the main entrance road you come to a second pond on your right. This pond can have gobs of Geese on it also. At this body of water, I got to watch a f. Hooded Merganser try to stuff [litterally], in her bill, a crayfish. This took quite a while.

As most of you know the Geese at this Cemetery can be spread out all over the place. I saw the bird at 3:30pm.

During the week funerals occur and watch out for other cars,

Happy Birding!!
