All,
Having dug out of over 2' of snow on Tuesday, I ventured around Boulder County this morning. There was a Greater White-fronted Goose on the south side of Valmont Res, and a family of 5 Tundra Swans (2 adults, 3 juveniles) happily swimming in the middle of Boulder Res. Lageman Res is mostly frozen, and there were no geese at Dodd Res, so I went to the east part of the county hoping to see a Longspur in with the Horned Larks. Instead, on N 115th St south of Oxford Road I found 3 Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches eating by the side of the road. I cannot remember seeing them this far east in Boulder County before.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Peter Gent, Boulder.
