-- It's cool to see grounded migrants. It's cooler still to watch migrants actually migrating. And it's especially stirring to witness a fallout as it transpires right before your very eyes and ears. That's what happened for me yesterday evening, Mon., Apr. 22, at Boulder Reservoir, Boulder County, as I got to see at least 500 high-flying Franklin's Gulls drop out of the sky and alight on the north shore mudflats. Photos and audio at eBird, video at Facebook. Speaking of Facebook, CFO's group features cool recent photos of a male Anna's Hummingbird in Douglas County, a stunning Aythya hybrid in Adams County, and more. You know, for those of you who, for whatever reason, still resist all the sharing and learning and wonder in that flourishing forum. Back to Boulder Rez. Also present at the north shore were a Mexican Duck x Mallard hybrid, a badly behaved dog owner, and an impressively large bobcat.
